Scher Group
Education Challenge

Current research indicates adults learn more effectively when they can demonstrate their knowledge in a competitive or simulated environment. So why not turn your training program into a game? That's what Scher Group has done with its Education Challenge Game-Based Learning Program. Web-based competition -- some patterned after television game shows, others with a video-game feel, work as "edutainment" to provide knowledge, recognition and a sense of team play in a way that makes learning fun. Both internal and external applications are provided, allowing employees to demonstrate their knowledge while competing against peers from across the hall or around the country.

For example, the Education (or "Skills", or "Product Knowledge") Challenge could be used internally to promote a particular initiative within a company. Or, it could be used externally, in conjunction with other divisions, with customers or with a trade association, keeping the industry informed about the latest developments in their field (or your products.) Companies also have the opportunity to sponsor the game. Your sponsored competition can help advance the skills of those in the industry while demonstrating your commitment to education within the industry, while providing a powerful showcase for your product or service.
